5-part 92 x 32 cm.

The inspiration for the name of this vase comes from the Persian city of Isphahan (Esfahan). There, the beauty of tulips was appreciated for centuries before they were introduced to Western Europe in the mid-16th century. In Persia and the Ottoman Empire, flowers were shown as individuals. Not in bouquets. Also in the Isphahan vase the individual beauty of the tulips is shown to its best advantage.
